The Washington Post modernizes its print production with Roxen
The Washington Post is now using Roxen's print automation platform to support the production of its print editions.
As part of a broader investment in publishing technology, The Washington Post has modernized its publishing environment, including the adoption of an updated Arc XP content management system. Roxen’s print automation platform extends the publishing workflow while decoupling print production, creating a clear and reliable path from content to print-ready pages.
The new platform streamlines layout and page production, supports efficient handling of multiple editions and zoning, and helps reduce manual steps throughout the production process. Editors remain in control of priorities, layouts and late changes, while production teams benefit from a more efficient and consistent workflow.
The implementation represents one of the largest Roxen deployments to date and now supports production across The Washington Post’s print operations.
”We are proud to welcome The Washington Post to the Roxen family. Throughout the project, we have worked closely with a highly skilled and committed team that combined a clear vision for the future with a determination to rethink established ways of working. The result is a modern production environment built for both today’s requirements and future development. Bringing Roxen into production at The Washington Post marks an important milestone for both organizations,” says Per Östlund, CEO at Roxen.
