Direktpress hyperlocal news site one of Sweden’s top 100 websites
The Swedish edition of IDG Internetworld this week released their list of Sweden’s top 100 websites 2016, awarding StockholmDirekt.se – Direktpress’ site for hyperlocal news from Stockholm’s neighborhoods and boroughs – a Prize of Honor.
The prize is given with the following motivation:
“Direktpress is becoming a true competitor to traditional newspapers in Stockholm. The website that collects content from all their [19] city districts is a sheer pleasure to read – truly interesting local journalism that is widely shared in social media.”
While pagination for the print edition is centralized, Direktpress journalists work from the local communities they are covering. They use Roxen’s tools for editorial production and publishing in an “online first” workflow, engaging their audience through social media and video.
