STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – October 8, 2007: Metro International, one of the world’s largest newspapers, has chosen Roxen Editorial Portal™ as their editorial system for newspaper production world wide. Roxen Editorial Portal™ is unique in its kind since the workflow is completely web based. It’s originally based on Roxen’s multiple awarded and proven web content management product Roxen CMS.
Roxen Editorial Portal™ is already in production at the Metro’s offices in Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and in the U.S., countries that were deployed during the last six months.
“Roxen Editorial Portal is built on modern web standards and something refreshingly new in the newspaper industry. Metro is a highly innovative and progressive company with a clear vision of what is happening in the newspaper industry. We share that vision and we’re proud that they selected Roxen as their partner”, says Staffan Ekholm, CEO at Roxen Internet Software.
“As it is completely web based, Roxen Editorial Portal vastly reduces cost and time for implementation and maintenance compared to traditional client/server technology and enables a level of flexibility that is unprecedented in the industry. We’ve already experienced up to 40% increase in productivity in certain countries”, says Michael Mendoza, Global IT Director at Metro International.
The official Roxen Editorial Portal™ product launch will take place at the IfraExpo 2007 in Vienna, October 8-11 (Roxen’s Stand A927).
