New Web Site Gives Chalmers Library a "Personal Entrance".

Chalmers Library has signed an agreement with Roxen Internet Software for development of their external web site. They intend to use Roxen's Content Management System for amongst other things a personalised "My Library", which will facilitate for the library's different interested parties. The Agreement with Chalmers is a part of Roxen's University Program, which includes licenses, support and training.

Chalmers Library will use Roxen's CMS-software for their external web site www.lib.chalmers.se. The goal is to have the new web site up and running by April next year. To make it easier for the library's different interested parties the plans include the development of a function where the users can adjust the web pages after their own interests - a "My Library". The purpose is to achieve better accessibility to relevant information on individual level, create greater interactivity and better visibility for the users.

According to Lars Nellde, Head Librarian at Chalmers Library they chose Roxen CMS because it is a packaged solution and doesn't demand additional applications. The out-of-the-box solution also contributes to get the new web site ready according to the time plan.

- Another contributing factor to us choosing Roxen CMS is that the Gothenburg University Library uses it and we want to be able to exchange knowledge and competence as well as strengthen our present cooperation with them, says Lars Nellde. Roxen CMS is earlier installed on Chalmers Physics Section.

- Enabling all employees to use an intuitive interface and administrative tools to manage both content, security and production site performance is a key requirement for any professional web project, says Kenneth Olofsson, CEO at Roxen.

- Of course we are very pleased that also Chalmers Library has chosen Roxen. We have reached great success within the University world with our adapted University Program. It is designed to make it easy and cost-effective for universities to integrate Roxen technologies in their activities Kenneth Olofsson concludes.

Today universities in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA use Roxen.
